From an early model into a working research program.

A development record of the questions, models, prototypes, probes, and later systems that shaped the work. The evidence status is documented in the lab's Research Corpus.
Research timeline
Early Modeling - January 2025
Intent, action, and what follows from them were represented through early system models, including Color Petri Nets.
Pi evolved into a conversational prototype with separate responsibilities for estimation, routing, session state, interpretation, and presentation.
Defined probes were introduced to compare prescribed rules, calculations, and visible responses under controlled conditions.
A model-agnostic conversational control overlay: architectural posture, inspectable routing, and probe-based evaluation.
Purpose-informed operating principles were documented in live cross-functional work. See disclosures in the field note below.
The governing research extended into a spatial model for making developing work, decisions, and continuation inspectable.
Research Corpus - September 2026
The public baseline separated observed behavior, demonstrated results, documented findings, open questions, and non-claims.
Field Research Note: Organizational Application
Purpose-informed operating principles were used while building a new cross-functional business system. The retained materials document intent, responsibilities, handoffs, readiness, and learning measures while preserving unfinished work.

This record is part of the research history. It does not establish that Pi’s numerical parameters were applied to the organization or that Purpose caused faster execution.

Early prototype responses

The following are unsolicited individual reactions to the early v1 prototype. They are not a user study, a representative sample, or evidence that Purpose produces a particular outcome.
